KNOXVILLE – Congratulations to Alayna Hegwood, Nursing-Surgery, for being selected the KHC Hero of the Month.

“Alayna has done a great job as our one and only surgery tech in the surgery department. She also keeps our central supply and central sterile areas running smoothly – this is a big job and an important one.  She volunteers to work extra shifts and is willing to leave early when low census occurs.  The surgeons enjoy working with her and trust her expertise.  She has a great sense of humor and dedication to hard work.  She is very much appreciated in the surgery department,” commented a co-worker.

Other employees nominated in January were Jolinda Smith, HIM; Amanda Vincent, HIM; Rosie Reid, Nursing-Med/Surg.; Cindy Pettyjohn, Clinic; and Halie Myers, Lab.
