Did you know that the public has rated nursing as the most honest and ethical profession for the past 16 years?
Nurses are committed to protecting, promoting, and improving health care, and they serve the public in a wide range of roles and work settings. Therefore, it is only fitting that we take one week each year to celebrate the nursing profession and the vital roles nurses play in health care.
National Nurses Week begins May 6 and ends on May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday.
Nurses Week at the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics is celebrated with several activities to honor our exceptional nurses for the work they do and role they play in health care. Nurses Week is not just for organizations. We encourage individuals to show their support too by thanking the nurses that care for them.
This year’s theme is “Nurses Inspire, Innovate, Influence.”
