KNOXVILLE – Congratulations to Rachel Willoughby, Business Office, for being selected the KHC Hero of the Month.
“This highly engaged employee embraces the concept of continuous quality improvement. She has played a vital role in KHCs efforts to enhance the registration process by tracking errors and sharing them with leadership for strategic planning purposes along with developing the developing/providing training materials for the registration staff. She has also been instrumental in developing the revenue generating ‘outsourced services’ initiative being undertaken in the business office. In this regard she has served as a valued resource to our outside customers and provided staff training on billing through Cerner to a new associate who is performing very well. Additionally, she is an independent thinker, is open-minded and consistently demonstrates behaviors that are in line with the values/direction of the department as communicated by the leader, which sets a great example for others to follow,” commented a co-worker.
Other employees nominated in May were Sheryl Woods, Clinic; Heather Davis, IT; A Zanoni, IT; Sam Ford, Lab; Barb Rees, Business Office; and Michelle Sedlock, Nursing-Surgery.
