KNOXVILLE – Congratulations to Sherrilyn Nikkel, Nursing, for being selected the KHC Hero of the Month.
“Sherrilyn went above and beyond for a patient whose medication had been denied twice by insurance. The patient was leaving for vacation the next day and did not know what she was going to do without her medication. Sherrilyn was on the phone for an extended amount of time and at 6:30 pm was able to get this covered so the patient could pick up her medicine before 7:00 pm when the pharmacy closed,” commented a co-worker.
Cindy Pettyjohn, Clinic, was also nominated in November.
