KNOXVILLE – Congratulations to Beth Hoy, Environmental Services, for being selected the KHC Hero of the Month at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.

“Beth balances her management duties of handling multiple employees, monitoring their performance in their service department and working side by side with them as needs arise. Beth works in multiple hospital areas providing support in shorthanded situations. Recently she is going the extra mile in supporting her staff shoulder to shoulder in Med/Surg. during increased winter illness admissions. She does not shrink from jumping to support teamwork and get the patient care areas efficiently turned around. She supports the patient care area as essential as any nurse or provider in giving our best. She also serves on the Fun@Work committee supporting staff needs. Beth has recently supported evaluation in hand hygiene product trials to work with the dispersion of hand soaps to different facility locations, working one on one with coordinators and supporting a feedback process to help improve hand hygiene in caregiving. She is openminded and supportive in evaluating new ideas and is faithfully providing exceptional care at KHC,” read her nomination.

Beth will be in the running for KHC Hero of the Year in May 2018.

The other employees nominated in February were April Ramsey and Liz Schwanebeck.
