Jennifer Johnston Selected KHC Hero of the Month in December 2019

KNOXVILLE – Congratulations to Jennifer Johnston, Environmental Services, for being selected the KHC Hero of the Month at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.

“Jennifer is always working hard and goes above and beyond to make sure the department is clean and well taken care of. It is not unusual to see her on her hands and knees or sitting on the floor working diligently to remove a scuff on the wall. Jennifer is respectful in her actions, always asking before running loud equipment or asking if it is ok to enter a room. She exemplifies the essence of teamwork because she sees the value not only in completing her own work but making sure that she does not interrupt the workflow of another employee. Jennifer is innovative and always looking for ways to make things better or to accomplish things easier. Once when returning items from the white board I discovered that the tape lines would need removed and Jennifer discovered that the adhesive remover patches in the department easily removed the tape. Jennifer is an absolute joy to work with. On any given day you will hear ER physicians and nurses expressing appreciation for the work Jennifer does to improve our department,” read her nomination.

Jennifer will be in the running for KHC Hero of the Year in May 2020.
