Cardiac Rehabilitation Week is March 11-17, 2018, a time to educate the community about the role of pulmonary rehabilitation in enhancing the quality of life of individuals with lung disease.
There are many stories from people who are living with moderate to severe COPD that show you can live a high quality life if you take care of yourself and the disease. For example, Grace Anne Koppel (wife of broadcast journalist Ted Koppel) has one of the most inspiring stories we have come across. Grace was diagnosed 16 years ago and was given only months to live. As Grace discovered, yes COPD may be scary, but it doesn’t define you and it most certainly is NOT a death sentence. KHC’s Pulmonary Rehab Program is helping many people with COPD breathe easier and live better.
