KNOXVILLE – Congratulations to Dr. Brent Hoehns for being selected the KHC Hero of the Month at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.
“On Saturday, October 5, my mother fell while trying to grab her cat that was running out the door. The fall caused a compression fracture of the T12 vertebrae. We came to the ER and were admitted to the care of Dr. Hoehns. The entire time my mom was sick with worry about her missing her cat. Family and friends searched the neighborhood to no avail. During Dr. Hoehns’ assessment, my mom went on and on about her missing cat. Sensing the stress this was causing her, Dr. Hoehns asked her address and took the time out of his busy day to go search her neighborhood for the cat. Although he was unable to find the cat, the effort left a huge positive impression on my mom, myself, and my family. Dr. Hoehns’ patient-centered effort rose way above the call of duty while displaying excellent service with deep compassion,” read his nomination.
Dr. Hoehns will be in the running for KHC Hero of the Year in May 2020.
