McKay Ziller Bring Years of Community Involvement to Board
Knoxville Hospital & Clinics is happy to announce the addition of Megan McKay Ziller to the board of trustees. Megan brings to the board of trustees a vast amount of knowledge of the community and the understanding of the importance of having local health care available and accessible.
Megan is the Vice President of McKay Insurance Agency, Inc., where she serves the insurance and risk management needs of clients both locally and nationally in addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the agency. She is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa and has served on the Young Insurance Professionals Committee.
Megan stays active in the Knoxville community with the involvement in the following civic organizations: Red Rock Arts Alliance, Knoxville Heritage Foundation, Knoxville Economic Development Council, Knoxville Noon Kiwanis, and Knoxville Chamber of Commerce. She also volunteers for various activities with the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Foundation, St. Anthony’s Church, Knoxville Community Schools Career Day and High School Science Club. In January of 2008, Megan was named 2007 Businesswoman of the Year by her peers at the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce annual banquet.
When asked what she feels will be her greatest contributions to the KHC board of trustees, Megan said she is looking forward to focusing on the customer experience and building the relationships between KHC and the community.
“Knoxville Hospital & Clinics has many great strengths, including a caring and dedicated staff, a convenient local setting, and a foundation board willing to help fund new projects,” said Megan. “I think it is very important to promote the importance that our hospital plays for the overall health of our community – both physically and economically.”
Megan is married to husband, Scott, and has one son, Urban. In her spare time, Megan enjoys cooking, gardening, creating pottery, and traveling as much as possible. If her best friend were asked to list her greatest attributes, Megan said they would say she loves to learn and she cares.
“I am very happy to welcome Megan McKay Ziller to our board of trustees,” said Ann Helwig, CEO at KHC. “Having grown up in Knoxville, Megan has strong ties to the Knoxville community, and the leadership abilities that will help keep our health care organization strong and vital.”
