The Knoxville Hospital & Clinics was recently awarded a grant from the Marion County Community Foundation in the amount of $2,700 for the purchase of eight IV pumps. Four of the IV pumps were ordered the middle of August and when KHC received them at the end of August, they were put directly to use.

“The day the IV pumps arrived at our facility, we were experiencing a very high patient census so our nurses were quickly able to start IVs because the equipment they needed was readily available,” said Christine Buttell, Chief of Patient Care Services.

The Marion County Community Foundation is affiliated with the Iowa Community Affiliate Network and awards grants to support education, health and wellness, community development, human services, environmental concerns, art and music.
