Donna Bahls

Dr. Donna Bahls is a visiting specialist withe Capital Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in the American Association of Electromyography (EMG) and Electro diagnosis. She practiced in Everett, Washington, before moving to Des Moines in 1990. She has been practicing for 38 years. In addition to services delivered at the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics, Dr. Bahls maintains her primary practice with Capital Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Clive.

Dr. Bahls sees patients based on medical referrals for EMG testing. EMG tests measure muscle response or electrical activity in response to a nerve’s stimulation of the muscle. The test is used to help detect neuromuscular abnormalities. Her clinics are held from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the 3rd Monday of each month at KHC’s Medical Specialty Clinic, located at 1008 Bell Ave., Suite 105, in Knoxville.
