Knoxville Hospital & Clinics to Hold Upcoming 55+ Health Fair

KNOXVILLE, Iowa – Knoxville Hospital & Clinics (KHC) will hold a 55+ Health Fair on Thursday, July 25, from 4-7 p.m. at the hospital. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will feature complimentary health screenings, informational displays from external community organizations and internal hospital programs that offer services to support an individual’s health and lifestyle. This is an opportunity for attendees to learn more about services and resources available close to home in the community and at KHC.

At the event, attendees can take advantage of free health screenings including:

  • Blood Pressure
  • Skin cancer
  • A1C testing (prediabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes)
  • Bone density test sign up (Medicare B covered every 24 months for people who meet the criteria)
  • Compression-only CPR demonstration
  • Fall and Balance testing
  • FREE Medicare Wellness Visit sign up
  • Medication review/counseling

In addition, individuals can receive information about advance directives; cancer prevention and care; diabetes care; robotic orthopedic surgery options at KHC; ways to stay active with the Knoxville Rec Center and KNX Fitness; services by the Aging Resources of Central Iowa; health insurance information from the Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIIP); and so much more!

Complimentary refreshments will be provided as well as giveaways and drawings for door prizes.
