KNOXVILLE – Congratulations to Mikka Phillips, IT, for being selected the KHC Hero of the Month at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.

“Mikka consistently steps up when help is needed in any department and is the definition of team player. He is currently aiding in surgery because they are shorthanded and continues to juggle his regular duties in IT. He was recently asked to perform some other duties outside and I was concerned it might be overwhelming so I asked him if he was sure it was ok doing it and in classic Mikka style he said “we’re a team boss, that’s what we do, of course I’m ok with it.” Not only is he a team player, he owns whatever task is asked of him. I’m glad he is part of the KHC team,” read his nomination.

Mikka will be in the running for KHC Hero of the Year in May 2020.

The other employees nominated in August were Shannon Bullard, David Gerjets, and Eric Clark.
