Knoxville, Iowa – Knoxville Hospital & Clinics (KHC) and Pella Regional Health Center (PRHC) proudly recognize and extend the deepest gratitude to Marion County Bank for their generous contribution of $250,000 to the Bridging the Gap Campaign.
Gifts to the Bridging the Gap Campaign will help fund the South Central Iowa Radiation Center and support the partnership between KHC and PRHC to bring radiation therapy closer to home for patients across the region. This gift represents more than financial support – it reflects belief in our mission, confidence in our collaboration, and compassion for the patients and families we serve.
“This contribution from Marion County Bank is especially meaningful as it comes from a trusted partner with strong ties to both Knoxville and Pella. It underscores the power of collaboration – not only between our two hospitals, but across the communities we serve – and brings us one step closer to making essential cancer care more accessible to patients throughout south central Iowa,” said Kevin Kincaid, Knoxville Hospital & Clinics CEO.
The state-of-the-art radiation oncology center is expected to be completed in early 2027 and will significantly improve access to cancer care for residents of Marion County and surrounding communities, reducing the need for travel to distant treatment centers.
The 7,800-square-foot facility will house advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, including:
- A linear accelerator to deliver highly precise radiation treatments.
- A PET/CT scanner which plays a critical role in diagnosing cancer and determining the most effective course of treatment.
“This project reflects what’s possible when organizations that share the same values come together to serve people first,” said Klint Korver, CEO of Marion County Bank. “Pella Regional Health Center and Knoxville Hospital & Clinics are showing extraordinary leadership by expanding access to care closer to home, where patients and families can spend less time traveling and more time together. We’re proud to support an effort that strengthens our communities and gives families the gift of time when it matters most.”
Bob Kroese, Pella Regional Health Center’s CEO, shared his appreciation for Marion County Bank’s support.
“We are deeply grateful to Marion County Bank for their generous support of our Radiation Center Capital Campaign. As a trusted partner serving communities across Marion County, their commitment reflects a true dedication to the well-being of their neighbors. Because of their compassion, more people will be able to receive advanced, high-quality care close to home, surrounded by the support of the community they know and love. We are honored to partner with an organization so deeply rooted in caring for all of Marion County,” said Bob Kroese, Pella Regional Health Center CEO.
The South Central Iowa Radiation Center is projected to cost $14.3 million, with the majority of funding to be raised through the Bridging the Gap Campaign, led by the hospital foundations of PRHC and KHC.
