Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Auxiliary Donates Over $10,700 to Support Patient Care at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics

Knoxville, Iowa – Knoxville Hospital & Clinics (KHC) is grateful to the KHC Auxiliary for its generous donation of more than $10,700 to purchase new equipment that will directly support patient care across the organization.

The Auxiliary’s donation funded the purchase of a new EKG machine for the Knoxville Hospital Clinic and a patient cart for the Surgery Department. These important additions will help enhance efficiency, improve patient comfort, and support KHC staff as they continue providing high-quality care to patients throughout the community.

“We are incredibly thankful for the continued generosity and dedication of the KHC Auxiliary,” said Jan Myers, KHC Chief Nursing Officer. “Their support allows us to purchase equipment that makes a real difference in the care we provide. These donations directly benefit our patients and the employees who care for them every day.”

The new EKG machine will provide the Clinic with updated equipment to assist providers and staff in evaluating patients’ heart health, while the patient cart will support the Surgery Department by improving mobility and the overall patient experience.

The KHC Auxiliary operates the Flutterbye Gift Shop, conveniently located in the KHC Lobby. All proceeds from the Gift Shop directly support equipment purchases for KHC. In addition to the EKG machine and patient cart, the Auxiliary has recently purchased bedside monitors, defibrillators, and pediatric dentistry equipment. The Auxiliary also provides annual scholarships for area high school students pursuing careers in healthcare.

For decades, the KHC Auxiliary has been a valued partner of KHC through volunteer service and generous contributions that help meet the hospital’s ongoing needs. Their commitment continues to strengthen healthcare services and ensure patients receive exceptional care close to home.
