KNOXVILLE – Congratulations to Heather Key, Clinic Scheduler, for being selected the KHC Hero of the Month at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.
“Heather once again has gone above and beyond. We have a patient with dementia who also has severe pain. She was scheduled to see Dr. Law in the office but he had to move all of his appointments to virtual. The patient did not have the ability to do a virtual visit and had no family who was able to help her. Heather remembered that this patient had home health. She took the initiative to call home health herself and coordinate a virtual visit while home health is with the patient. The patient was so grateful and will not miss her much-needed appointment due to Heather working so hard on this. I also want to add she was swamped this day and still took the time to do this,” read her nomination.
Heather will be in the running for KHC Hero of the Year in May 2021.
The other employees nominated this month will automatically be entered for consideration for the next three months. After each quarter, we will share the employees who were nominated during that timeframe.
