Pella Corporation Gives $50,000 to Knoxville Hospital & Clinics’ Expansion

KNOXVILLE, Iowa – Pella Corporation has given $50,000 to Knoxville Hospital & Clinics (KHC) to help fund the hospital’s $21 million expansion project that will add a new surgical suite, renovate the Emergency Department, and construct the new Don & Margaret Long Infusion Center and Weiler Foundation Specialty Clinic.

Pella Corporation’s gift is designated to support the hospital’s plans for increased privacy and safety measures for mental health diagnoses that are assessed in the Emergency Department.

“It’s servant-hearted organizations like Pella Corporation that make me proud to call Marion County home,” said Kevin Kincaid, KHC CEO. “Pella Corporation was with us as a major supporter at the beginning, when we opened our doors on our current facility in 1980,” said Kincaid. “It means a great deal to us to have a partner like Pella Corporation who invests back into our communities. Their continued support enables us to serve the area as one of the top rural health care providers in the country,” said Kincaid.

Construction crews broke ground on the Don & Margaret Long Infusion Center and Weiler Foundation Specialty Clinic in March.

“This project will enable continued access to quality health care for Knoxville area residents, many of whom are our team members here at Pella Corp,” said Karmen Gardner, Executive Director of the Rolscreen Foundation “We’re proud to contribute to the communities where our team members live and work.”

To date, the KHC Foundation has raised more than $7.5 million towards the expansion project.
