KNOXVILLE, IA – Congratulations to Knoxville Hospital & Clinics (KHC) Internal Medicine provider, Bhama Jayaveerapandian, MD, for earning the distinction of “United Heroes” for outstanding patient experience scores in 2021 from United Healthcare.
The award, based on feedback from patients, is presented to providers who achieve scores of 80% or higher.
“This is a tremendous honor and is meaningful to me because it comes from the patients,” said Dr. Bhama. “Being a health care provider is important to me and I enjoy caring for my patients very much. Internal Medicine is a complex and challenging field and I enjoy the challenge it brings. Patients often come in when they are feeling their worst. By listening to them and their story, it is a very gratifying experience to work together with them to develop a plan to improve their health.”
In addition to the award, Dr. Bhama will be recognized in the February 2022 issue of Renew magazine, UnitedHealthcare’s member magazine, along with others who have achieved this accomplishment.
“Dr. Bhama has been a valued member of our medical team for 15 years. She is a very thorough and compassionate provider who cares about her patients and becomes invested in their overall health and wellbeing,” said Kevin Kincaid, KHC CEO. “This award is a testament to her commitment to deliver exceptional care. I am very proud to work alongside her.”
