This is a Full-Time position working Monday – Friday days.
A materials management supply technician is responsible for overseeing the movement and storage of materials within a supply chain, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory control. The materials management supply tech role involves receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing supplies, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting logistics operations.
Essential Functions
- Inventory Management: –Maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels, and conducting regular inventory audits.
- Receiving and Inspection: –Receiving incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against orders, and reporting discrepancies.
- Storage and Handling: –Ensuring proper storage and handling of supplies and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Order Processing: –Preparing and processing orders for shipment, coordinating with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Disposal of Obsolete Stock: –Managing the disposal of obsolete or damaged materials.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping: –Maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions, stock levels, and other relevant data.
- Support Logistics Operations: –Assisting with the efficient flow of materials within the supply chain.
- Collaboration: –Working with other teams (e.g., purchasing, warehouse, shipping) to ensure smooth operations and address any supply chain issues.
- Compliance: –Ensuring adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

- Physical Stamina: –Ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and perform other physical tasks.
- Knowledge of Materials Handling Procedures: –Understanding proper storage, handling, and safety procedures for various materials.
Job Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 0-6 month’s prior experience in a purchasing/materials management position is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of a calculator, computer, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Excellent person-to-person and telephone customer service skills.
- Must be able to maintain a pleasant and helpful demeanor even in periods of high demand.
- Required to complete all annual competency training and maintain license and/or certification.
