Position Summary
Under the general supervision of Clinic Director, the Clinic Scheduler is responsible for all activities surrounding appointments for clinic patients and assisting with chart review/auditing.
Essential Functions
- Initial contact with the patient and is responsible for providing comprehensive, coordinated and seamless service to the patients.
- Obtains current and accurate demographic and insurance information
- Make patient appointments appropriately according to templates and insurance.
- Validates the status of insurance.
- Make appropriate referrals to assist the uninsured population.
- Performs telephone duties as required and routes calls to appropriate staff. Routes messages appropriately per protocol.
- Maintains overall understanding of clinic functions and escorts patients and public to the proper destination.
- Conducts themselves to provide the best Patient experience possible. Closes patient appointment with short survey of visit.
- Leads daily huddles with providers.
- Completes Chart Audits for scheduled Medicare patients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED required
- Mandatory Report Training
- Computer skills required
- Insurance Knowledge is preferred
- Healthcare Background preferred
- Exceptional Customer Service skills required.
- Required to complete all annual competency training and maintain license and/or certification.
