Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer Alana Monson

Knoxville, Iowa – Knoxville Hospital & Clinics (KHC) has announced the hiring of Alana Monson as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Alana officially joined KHC on June 1.

“We are pleased to welcome Alana to the KHC team,” said Kevin Kincaid, Chief Executive Officer at KHC. “Alana will play a key role in providing operational leadership and executive oversight across our organization. Her health care background and leadership experience will be valuable in helping advance our strategic goals and support our mission of delivering exceptional health care to the communities we serve.”

Alana earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa in 2020 and her Master of Health Administration from the University of Iowa in 2023. Prior to joining KHC, she most recently served as Interim Administrator at MercyOne Elkader Medical Center. She also held the role of Interim CEO at Manning Regional Healthcare Center.

“I am excited to join the KHC team and become involved in the many projects and initiatives taking place throughout the organization,” said Alana. “I look forward to working alongside the staff and providers as we continue making a positive impact and improving the health and well-being of the patients we serve.”

Alana currently resides in Knoxville. In her free time, she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, with some of her favorite activities including running, boating, and skiing.
