HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR

Full Time Human Resources Director 

The Human Resource Director is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, implementing and controlling of the human resource functions of KHC.  Plans, implements, coordinates and administers policies, programs and procedures which relate to employee relations, compensation, benefits, employee development, recruitment, employment, and workers’ compensation.

Essential Functions:

  • This position works directly with the CEO to identify the scope of services and purpose of the Human Resource Department. This position organizes the total operation of the department into an effective unit including safety, deduction, testing procedures and protocol equipment research, records/files confidentiality and everyday problem solving as needed.
  • The HR Director has extensive responsibility in the area of employee recruitment/hiring/ terminating, regulation of wage/salary structure, scheduling of pre-employment physicals and mandatory orientation, employee education, administration and explanation of benefits, employee relations/counseling, and completing appropriate paperwork (such as Termination Reports, COBRA, etc.) compliance of all legal requirements (ADA, EEOC, etc.).
  • Maintains department-related policies and procedures and has knowledge of and implements hospital-wide policies/procedures and guidelines. This includes current job descriptions, accessing competency levels of the staff, age specific protocols, CQI/quality assurance measures, orientation, delegation, staff mandatory education, payroll, and appropriate staffing needs as required to cover the departmental scope of services and levels of quality patient care. This position requires attention to financial issues in related areas including budgeting, oversight and control of expenses, and staffing. Growth, planning, and controlling are key areas of responsibility for financial positioning of these related areas.
  • Requires leadership abilities to accomplish tasks by organizing and cooperating efforts with other individuals. This individual has the ability to cooperate, and interact with other individuals and groups of people, in addition to knowing how to plan and problem solve in a professional and participative manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resource management, Business Management, and five years experience in a related field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification required.
  • Previous hospital and/or Human Resources experience required.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Must be able to comprehend and utilize written information.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret numerical/statistical data and have solid knowledge of Human Resource legal requirements.
  • Required to complete all annual competency training and maintain license and/or certification.
